Woah..I'm updating with something other than a quiz!!

I'm not really sure why..but I'm doing it! haha

* So I last said I got back from Cape Cod. Then I did a whole crap load of GAP Kids hours..60 in a week and a half *(not much for you normal full-timers, but that's a lot for me to get at the gap.)
* Then the first week in August, my parents and I went to Staten Island where i interviewed for a grad assistantship at Wagner College in the sports info dept. We ended up taking the staten lsland ferry over to manhattan, and taking the subway uptown to Times Square where we went shopping most of that day. We ate at this cute diner call Ellen's Stardust Diner. The waiter and waitresses were all reallly good singers and sang every 5 minutes or so..it was neat! We said at the Staten Island Hotel, and the next day, we took the ferry back over to Manhattan and after a little more shopping, we saw the musical Avenue Q. It's the adult version of Seseme Street. It was soo good..a little embarassing to watch with parents at times, but I'm so glad we saw it! Then we ate dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company...a Forrest Gump themed restaurant. That was cute! *Two days later we went to Shippensburg for me to interview for the same type of position there. Then we drove to Hagerstown, MD to the outlets and Ian drove over for dinner since we were still there and he was out of work!!! :-D Yay! I hadn't seen him since the Fourth of July. Even though it was barely 2 hours...and I would be seeing him a week later..I wasn't complaining about a little Ian fix :-D hehe
* Worked at the GAP for the next week and then..
* CAPE MAY!!!! I drove to Frederick the Thursday night before the trip and then Ian and I drove to Cape May Friday morning. We got there much earlier than we had told his parents, so it was nice to surprise them and see how excited they were just to see us a few hours early. The vacation was good. It was awesome to just relax on the beach during the day (and get an awesome tan in the meantime) and obviously see the love of my life for more than 2 hours! All in all a good time was had by the whole family (including the newly engaged Joel and Ashlee..Congrats darlings! Nothing like a little pressure though...geez..hehe, jk). Can't wait til next year!
* Came back to Frederick and found out I didn't get the Ship g.a. position...cried for a good 45 minutes..then had to pick myself up and drive to Rockville for an interview with a financial company for a communications position.
* A week later I returned to Frederick for a second interview with the company to talk to more people and take a writing test. Then Penn State called me as I was driving away from that interview and I ended up driving to State College the next day to interview for a athletic communications internship position for my favorite school in the world!!
* No news yet from either of those interviews as of now though. I'm not too hopeful about the Penn State one anymore seeing as though they needed to get someone hired asap. So we'll see what happens. I just applied for a bunch of other positions, so I am desperately hoping to find something....SOON. i really can't handle living at home anymore...I going to go crazy. My mother's constant nagging and "advice" on what I should be doing (which, by the way, changes on an hourly basis ****screams*****).
****Best part of this week is that I'm GOING TO STATE COLLEGE FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soo excited to finally get back there for more than an interview..haha. I'm excited to see all of those crazy kids still lucky enough to be in the area, esp tom and kp! yay for getting to see their new apt. And then there's that lovable Ian...the cutie bought me tickets for the game as an early anniversary present (3 amazing years Sept. 28!) since we met at football games..too cute. The team better be ready to show me a win too!!! haha

So that's about where I stand in life....in a nutshell. hope everyone else is doing well...let me know how school/work/life, etc is going. Take Care
